Artemis II Launch
Since 1972’s Apollo 17, NASA has not put another person on the moon, but that will change in the upcoming years with Artemis II, NASA’s new rocket is testing the new capabilities of going to the moon. The Artemis II will fly around the moon with four astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Mission Commander; Victor Glover, Mission Pilot; Christina Koch, Mission Specialist; and Jeremy Hansen, Mission Specialist. Artemis II is on
the SLS rocket, and NASA has prepared for years to launch it. It is planned to have future missions to the moon with Artemis III and IV in upcoming years.
There is a greater focus on safety and the entire plan to get on the moon will last several years from now until 2028 with Artemis IV. Currently, the Artemis II mission will be launched on April 1st, as of writing. The mission has a 10 day orbit around the moon, and NASA is currently testing its own capabilities on this mission.

Logan Township Industrial Explosion
Wednesday March 4th at 2:36, a Savita Naturals industrial facility exploded due to propane, injuring 4-5 people. The explosion took place in Logan Township, New Jersey, and the plant processed cocoa butter, and the nearby area has had first responder involvement since the explosion. Within a radius of two miles, there was a shelter-in-place due to the ramifications and unknowns regarding the explosion. The exact causes remain under investigation by the local government, and the fires ranged from 24-30 feet (7-9 meters) in the air.
The exact location was 600 Block Heron Drive, Logan Township NJ, and locals recorded video and pictures on phone and Ring cameras alongside the local news. The tanks of propane themselves were a couple decades old, the explosion caused damage and concern in a mile radius, but thankfully, there have not been any confirmed deaths.

Airplane Firetruck Collision
An airplane and a firetruck collided at the LaGuardia Airport, New York the night of March 22nd. The two pilots passed away in the accident, but the firefighters and all 41 passengers survived with varying levels of injury. In regards to the cause, both the plane and firetruck were cleared for the runway by air traffic control, so miscommunication between parties involved is likely.
The incident occurred during a landing of an Air Canada airplane, and a firetruck was called onto the runway due to a problematic odor on a plane. The firetruck itself was given the green light by air traffic control to go on the runway, but then was frantically warned when the incoming plane arrived resulting in the collision. Both the firetruck and the plane are in wreckage, and hundreds of flights were canceled due to the collision.
