While fall breezes blow in, Kingsway students’ opinions about the season’s fashion do’s-and-don’ts come with it. Both temperature and fashion line drops work together to transition into the relaxed autumn mood; but what does Kingsway think?
Kingsway’s Do’s: Colors, cuts, and cute clothes are, to many people, the backbone of the autumn season; however, there are many clashing beliefs about fall trends. For one, Lily Feinberg, a Kingsway freshman, said, “My favorite fall fashion trend is probably those white, oversized Rory Gilmore sweaters.” The cool weather awakens a need for cozy clothes, and what better way to stay warm and look good than with a comfortable sweater? However, others disagree with this trend and choose to take a different approach to their fall style. “Vests and flannels are cute, but flannels are definitely my favorite,” said sophomore Ava Snyder. These conflicting takes on the upsides of the season’s trends both fight for the overall best autumn style, but it is also important to consider the dark side of fall fashion.
Kingsway’s Don’ts: Autumn isn’t all just pretty leaves and pumpkins–there would be no light without dark, and this comes in the form of Kingsway’s least favorite fashion. “I’m not a fan of the Uggs,” said Kaitlin Weil, a junior. “I don’t like the ones with the short top or the platform ones.” These popular fall shoes and their different styles can either make or break the perfect outfit, and, according to Kingsway students, so can any other stand-out fall style.
