There are a plethora of ways to express yourself, especially when it comes to art. Whether it’s through painting or drawing, it’s common for artists to gravitate towards one medium and manipulate it to speak for them. An artist who uses her artistic skills through many different mediums of art is Dianely Flores. From digital artwork to fashion, to painting, to 2D artworks she has made it clear that no medium can keep her from creating artwork that is not only amazing but extremely expressive.

There are circumstances when words just aren’t enough to reveal our true feelings, and Dianely takes full advantage of her art to fix this. Two of her pieces, “Daisy’s Awakening” and “Complex Ideals” are examples of this. In “Daisy’s Awakening”, she uses her knowledge and interest in Greek mythology to communicate a yearning for a deeper connection with others. Her second piece, “Complex Ideals” has multiple different tools for her self-expression. In the background of her pieces, she draws her star sign which represents her fondness for astrology this stems from how she would use it as a way to find herself when she was younger. The tint of purple she uses throughout the piece communicates her love for the color. The TV drifting in the distance connects with her love for vintage things such as films and the clothes that she wears. With so many references to who she is and the things she loves, what has influenced her is just as notable.
Though using art to translate a person’s own deeper feelings isn’t as easy as it may seem. Dianely gained major influences from the experiences she had at a young age. Experiences such as staring up at the night sky with a telescope with her family led to her affinity for astrology. As well as paintings such as “The Brith of Venus” which was part of the inspiration for her piece “Complex Ideals”. The encouragement she gets from her family also plays a huge role in her continued commitment to art.
There is no limit to the ways we can express ourselves. Being able to communicate who we are with other people beyond words is a skill not everyone can do well, but Dianely Flores has it figured out. As she continues to find herself we should all try our best to find new ways to express the things we can’t put into words.
