iOS 26
Apple Released IOS 26, the successor to IOS 18, in September 2025. The Iphone operating system is a new approach Apple is taking with completely changed design and the new naming scheme based on the next year of release, like how a 2025 model Ford F150 was released in 2024. The naming convention is to modernize the operating system as technology is being named after the year it is released; this is not Apple skipping versions.
The operating system’s most notable feature is the liquid glass, a transparent theme for all of IOS to focus on fresh design, control, and a shared lock screen across Apple devices.
Visual intelligence has been added to Apple Intelligence, which allows users to ask AI about content on their screens. The company has added new features to their communication suite of products with Imessage, for polls and background changes in Imess age; phone app, call screening; and Apple communication apps, live translation.
Carplay, Apple’s service for newer cars, added Tapback for messages & live activities. Other updated functions involved lesser Apple Intelligence features, accessibility, family accounts, and audio recording.

Emmys 2025
The 77th Annual Emmy Awards for television and broadcasting were recently held, announcing dozens of winners for a variety of famous television such as Adolescence, The Pitt, Severance, and The Late Show With Steven Colbert. To further dive into the awards, Adolescence received best limited or anthology series, executive producer Stephen Graham received best actor, Erin Doherty received best supporting actress, and Philip Barantini won best director.
Additionally, Kathrine LaNasa received best supporting actress in The Pitt. Also, after knowledge of The Late Show with Steven Colbert being canceled, the crowd at the Emmys heavily praised and cheered for Colbert. Furthermore, Traitors received best reality competition program, and the best writing on a variety series was received by Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
Ultimately, numerous iconic people and shows won awards at the 77th annual Emmys, and television will continue to create hits like these for years to come.

Hurricane Erin
Hurricane Erin was first spotted on the Florida shoreline from August 20th to 22nd, and the winds of the hurricane were over 500 miles from the eye. The tides reached 2.5 feet higher than usual due to the storm, and there was heavy flooding in North Carolina areas Lynnhaven, Kiptopeke, and Duck.
Notable beach erosion and moderate flooding in numerous areas occurred during Hurricane Erin’s time. In order to stay the safest during a hurricane, people should pay attention to local and government news alongside making necessary preparations in case of flooding and property damage.
