On May 16th, 2026, at 6:30 PM, Kingsway held its first-EVER junior prom. Taking place at Masso’s Event Center. With around 200 students in attendance, the junior prom had a theme of an enchanted garden.

This year’s prom transformed the space into a night of elegance, excitement, and unforgettable memories. From the moment students arrived, the atmosphere was filled with energy as friends posed for photos, reunited outside of class, and prepared for one of the most anticipated events of the school year!

Planning began early this school year, with the first reveal of the event happening at Kingsway’s junior class of 2027 meeting, and students were full of excitement. The event ran similarly to homecoming, and students were able to bring outside guests!

 In December, students had the chance to win free prom tickets by sending in their ideas for the prom theme. After another round of voting, the ultimate theme was selected to be Enchanted Garden by the winner, Gianna Gonzalez Simone!

For students who attended, this event was more than just a well-anticipated dance; it was a chance to take a break from the stress of classes, AP exams, athletics, and extracurricular activities and enjoy the memories behind high school! The success of the event would not have been possible without the hard work of the class advisors– Ms. Fisher and Ms. Kelley– coordinating the event from start to finish.
