Kingsway Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Earlier this month, Kingsway’s Foreign Language Club helped to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (which takes place September 15-October 15). Hispanic Heritage Month is a national celebration of the ethnic and cultural diversity as well as contributions and achievements of Hispanic people. Led by Club Adviser Ana Cecilia Reichert, club members created posters with the names of Spanish speaking countries, pictures representing Hispanic culture, famous Hispanic figures, and informational facts. The posters were then connected into banners that are now displayed in the North Main Lobby. Club member and sophomore Cole Griscom  said “It is important to recognize the contributions of Hispanic to their heritage and culture in our diverse school community.”

Kingsway’s Foreign Language Club promotes the sharing and learning of different languages and cultures, starting in our own school community. The club meets at least once a month on A Days during SMART Lunch.
